Service and Sharpening
Our fully-equipped workshop allows us to provide a same-day-turnaround, in-house, chain sharpening service. Our trained mechanics inspect the chains for defects before using a hot ultra-sonic cleaner to degrease them. The chains are then machine-sharpened, in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, before the depth guages are checked and adjusted. We will then lightly re-grease the chain before sending it back the same day via Royal Mail (subject to payment being made the same day).
Our sharpening service costs £6.38 plus VAT per chain (that's £7.50 including VAT), regardless of the size of chain and including the cost of return postage. We will return chains via Royal Mail, but can accept no reponsibility for loss or damage during transit (either to or from our workshop). If you choose to include a cheque with your chain, we will return it immediately. If you choose to have us contact you to pay by credit/debit card over the phone, we will return the chain as soon as payment has been made. If we are unable to contact you for payment, it will delay the return of your chain, so please make sure your contact details are correct.
Please note: we do not shapen carbide or TCT chains.
